Stepping into the elevator, she waits for him to follow, then pushes a button at random, figuring that it doesn't matter, that the elevator will get them where they need to go. It does, too, doors opening again only a handful of 'floors' later into an alley rather than a hallway, and she steps out into it, into the heat, not stifling, not like New York, but a change from the air conditioning all the same. She glances back at Jack, making sure he's following, still.
